Want to look good in those leggings this summer ?

Weight loss

We can achieve this by either consuming less calories or participating in a physical activity. Preferably we should do both, and I suggest 4 times a week in a physical activity that lasts around 1 hour. And just look at the results you can achieve by following the advice below:

AJ advice;

When starting a diet to lose weight don’t worry about counting calories. The best thing to do is to measure your portions. Simply put, I suggest limiting your carbohydrates to the morning and before / after your session at the gym, this provides your body and brain with enough energy to concentrate on the tasks ahead and to keep as much muscle mass as possible. For the days you don’t work out, I suggest reducing your carbs and limiting them to 3 times a day, 1 being the morning.

So that being said here’s how I suggest you eat when starting out on a diet to lose weight;

Breakfast

  • One portion of carbs (the size of a closed fist) at breakfast, that could be a cereal with a little milk or a fruit.
  • One portion of fat (size of finger from knuckle to tip) that could be 2 eggs, and finally,
  • One portion of protein, again that could be the found in the eggs and milk with the cereal.

Lunch

  • One portion of protein (size and thickness of hand).
  • One portion of slow digesting carbs (size of a closed fist).
  • One portion of good fats (size of finger from knuckle to tip).

Diner

  • One portion of protein (size and thickness of hand).
  • One portion of slow digesting carbs (size of a closed fist).
  • One portion of good fats (size of finger from knuckle to tip).

Between meals you can snack on nuts (two thumbs) or fruit (closed fist size).

For the days without a workout, I suggest cutting out the portion of carbs in the last meal, and no carbs after 19h. This being due to the fact that you’re not going to exerting yourself, or participating in any sort of physical exercise (well maybe, but I don’t want to know those details thanks), so your body will not need those extra calories of energy.
